ongoing debate about the impact of female leadership on corporate financial practices. The study challenges the assumption that
female CEO ownership influences earnings management. It also identifies a potentially significant relationship between a larger
proportion of female board members and earnings management practices and suggests that female board presence increases
earnings management practices in Nigerian manufacturing companies. Thus this study contributes to the understanding of how
female leadership might shape corporate governance practices and earnings management.
