Abstract
Abstract: Emerging technologies have transformed teaching and learning. Technology is now being used in various fields and is in people ‘s everyday lives incorporated The techno- pedagogical activities have become an integral component in all teaching and learning situations. The paper explores issues related to teaching young learners (3-8) years. A case study has been used along with content analysis to draw evidence from a wide range of techno-pedagogical practices. A blended teaching learning model has been used as a yardstick to measure how online tools and resources are used to enhance learning experiences among young learners. The study found out that techno-pedagogy has witnessed a paradigm shift from the traditional chalk and talk but it has its negative side on the part of ECD children’s holistic development. The study established that techno- pedagogy creates digital divides among children, overreliance on screens, depersonalise children’s learning experiences as well as impacting on physical and mental well-being. The study recommends that children limit technology use while focusing on other tasks and turning off devices where digital activity is not necessary.
